Concerning the activities in this space for innovation,
it is worth mentioning:
- The incorporation of Saiolan Centre in the new, modern
facilities where 35 persons currently develop
their work.
- On the other hand, promoted by the Home Cluster of Euskadi (ACEDE) the development of a "Living
Lab" has been started (a research concept focused
on the user and opened innovation with participation
of multidisplinary teams). This equipment is
financed by the MICINN and will come out in summer
2011 with near € 9m investment.
- Finally, it is relevant to say that as a complement
to the services offered by the Pole, the opening of
a restaurant, cafeteria and catering as a support
for the different activities organized by the companies
in the domain of GARAIA. 7,700 persons have
attended to these events, thus being important the
node of Garaia Enpresa Digitala, activities framed in
the initiative of information society promoted by the
Basque Government.
