ETIC-Embedded Technologies Innovation Center continues the consolidation process as a centre for R+D specialized in Microsoft embedded technologies. During the year 2010 has kept participating both in European projects (Artemis and ITEA2) and national and regional ones. Also, it has increased co-operation with companies in projects under contract during 2010. Relations with Microsoft keep growing stronger both in Madrid (Spain) and in Redmond (USA) and the network of innovation centres of Microsoft in the world.
Fagor Hometek, Fagor Electrodomésticos' innovation Centre, was set up by Fagor Electrodomésticos, Edesa and Ibai in September 2005 and focuses on two lines of research: technological knowledge (electronics and communications, design, vibrations and acoustics, thermodynamic energy, nutrition and food technology) and product and service innovation in White Goods and Home Comfort. With this same set-up and consistent with the Fagor Electrodomésticos Group's new international dimension, Fagor Hometek has already begun networking with the Group's other innovation centres, rendering services to the other two strategic units: Fagor France and Fagor Mastercook (Poland).
Ideko-IK4 is a technological centre specialized in manufacturing technologies and industrial production whose mission is contributing to sustainable development of an innovative and competitive business environment.
Ikerlan - IK4, a reference centre for the innovation and comprehensive development of mechatronic and energetic products. It also actively innovates in design and production processes. IKERLAN has over 35 years of experience in combining and applying mechanics, electronics, computing, microtechnology and fuel cell technologies.
ISEA is an innovation and entrepreneurship centre specialized in Business Services. It is promoted by the Engineering Division and Corporate Services. Following its social objective ISEA has promoted a Business Acceleration Center – BAC, which is a special structure devoted to facilitate processes for launching entrepreneurship by fostering intercooperational new businesses.
Koniker, technology centre specialising in Forming and Assembly, conducts its research in the following areas: drawing/forming, cutting/punching, levelling, roll-forming, bending/crimping, casting processes, transfer, assembly and stacking/destacking. In these areas work is done on the design of machinery and tooling, process simulation and control system programming. Koniker also undertakes projects in the field of solar panel manufacture and assembly, both conventional cells and thin-film laminates.
Lortek - IK4, the Research Centre for Joining Processes, is the national leader in industrial applications using laser processes, such as Tempering, Cladding, Direct Manufacturing and Friction Stir Welding. It has proven industrial experience in Design, Calculation, Structural Integrity and Simulation of joining processes by Finite Elements.
Maier Technology Centre (MTC), is a technology centre specialising in research, development and decoration of thermoplastic parts and assemblies for the automotive and domestic appliance sectors, operating in the field of concurrent engineering in close collaboration with its customers.
MIK - Mondragon Innovation & Knowledge is an R+D+I centre specialized in social and organizational innovation. It was created to contribute to competitiveness and company development. Its domain comprehends 4 lines of R+D+I: Opened Company, entrepreneurship and new businesses, Internationalization, Social Economy and Participation of People.
Orona eic (Elevator Innovation Centre), a research centre for the development of intelligent and safe transport systems that are more energy and socially efficient and better integrated into buildings.
ULMA PTC (Packaging Technological Center), center dedicated to researching, promoting, developing, improving, innovating, disseminating, training and providing services in the area of packaging technologies.
