EROSKI brings together in Pamplona more than 100 suppliers from Navarra
EROSKI brought together more than 100 suppliers from Navarra at a conference entitled “The agrofood industry: key to the regional economy”, which was held on 17 November last in Pamplona and which aimed to be a meeting point for EROSKI to have a dialogue with its regional suppliers, as part of its commitment to promoting local economies. The event was closed by Begoña Sanzberro, the Government of Navarra’s Minister for Rural Development and the Environment.

In 2009, EROSKI reinforced its strategy for promoting local products in all its stores, with collaboration agreements with 200 suppliers from Navarra, of which 53 are manufacturers of own-brand products. This resulted in purchasing worth more than 171 million euros.
EROSKI has also consolidated its presence in Navarra, with a workforce of 1,921 co-operators, 4.2% of the Group’s total workforce.
Moreover, in line with its pledge to generate wealth in the communities in which it operates, EROSKI will continue to promote its commitment to local and regional suppliers, fostering these production sectors in order to contribute to the economic and social development of Navarra.
