The
Fagor Group has today presented in Arrasate (Gipuzkoa) its international R&D&i centre,
Fagor Hometek.
Juan Tomás Hernani, General Secretary for Innovation, was the person in charge of opening the facilities. The event was also attended by

Fagor Hometek, located in Arrasate, is an international centre that coordinates company innovation with other elements of its network located close to the Group’s main centres of production: Lyon, Orleans, La Roche and Wroclaw.
In 2009, the Fagor Group invested 69.53 million euros in innovation, which puts it in tenth position among Spanish companies. Fagor Hometek currently has around 1,000 patents, of which 56 were registered last year.
The centre has 360 workers focusing on innovation (product-function, technology and design) with a dual aim: on the one hand, the launch of new products and services aimed at improving the health, safety and wellbeing of people at home, and on the other, the development of more efficient and greener technological solutions.
According to Txema Gisasola, the Managing Director of the Fagor Group, Fagor Hometek is the driving force that will enable us to continue being leaders in the future, to continue offering people innovative, sustainable solutions to improve their quality of life and wellbeing at home.
