Eroski ended 2008 with 9,013 million euros in sales, up 18% on the previous year, generating resources (Ebitda) totalling 370 million euros, 7% down on 2007 in comparable terms. Likewise, it opened 164 new stores and created 2,200 new jobs. Eroski describes these results as positive, given the difficult market conditions over the last few months of the year.
