Recognition of Excellence in Management
As in previous years, several of the Corporation’s businesses received outside endorsement in 2008 in the field of quality and excellence in business management. Specifically, the Viajes Eroski travel agency obtained the Silver Q for quality, whilst Eroski’s Fresh Produce Depot in Amorebieta achieved the Gold Q.
At 31 December 2008, the roll of honour for endorsements, certificates and awards for Quality and Business Excellence was as follows:
- 1 Finalist for the EFQM European Award obtained by Fagor Cocción.
- 1 European Environmental Award, won by Orkli.
- 8 Gold Q: Caja Laboral, Mondragón Lingua, Copreci, Fagor Minidomésticos, Fagor Industrial, Txorierri Politeknika Ikastegia, Eroski’s Fresh Produce Depot in Amorebieta and Seguros Lagun Aro.
- 19 Silver Q: Auzo Lagun, Eroski for its Depots in Amorebieta, Elorrio, Agurain and Zorroza, ETEO, Fagor Electrónica, Fagor Electrodomésticos Confort, Fagor Electrodomésticos Lavado, Fagor Electrodomésticos Mueble, Geyser-Gastech, Lea Artibai Ikastetxea, Mondragón Eskola Politeknikoa, Orkli, Soraluce, Ulma Packaging, ULMA-Piping, ULMA-Handling-Systems and Viajes Eroski.
- 4 Registrations in EMAS: Danobat, Fagor Ederlan, FPK and Maier.
- 112 ISO 9000 Certificates.
- 53 ISO 14001 Environmental Certificates.
- 15 OHSAS Certificates for Systems for the Prevention of Industrial Hazards.
- 1 SA 8000 Certificate for Social Responsibility awarded to Eroski.
