Offer description
Assist in the design, development, and application of electrical systems and components used in machine automation and control, including CNC controllers, feedback systems, motors, and drives, under the supervision of senior engineers. Apply knowledge of electrical engineering principles to support the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of automation products and related equipment, following established engineering standards and practices. Analyze wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose performance issues, identify corrective actions, and verify compliance with design specifications. Support the integration of control algorithms and software tools, including ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python, into electrical systems for automation and autonomous applications. Conduct laboratory testing and evaluation of products to replicate field conditions, validate engineering solutions, and ensure proper operation of electrical and electronic equipment. Document engineering activities, including test results, design modifications, field support actions, and training activities, in accordance with company and engineering standards. Collaborate with internal engineering teams, manufacturing staff, and field service personnel to recommend design improvements, enhance product reliability, and optimize support tools. Provide technical assistance to customers, distributors, and OEM partners by delivering professional and timely responses to engineering inquiries, both remotely and on-site. Participate in training activities by assisting in the preparation of instructional materials, conducting demonstrations, and supporting customer education on product applications. Contribute to maintaining engineering inventory, spare parts documentation, and records related to service and support functions. Travel domestically, occasionally as required, to customer or partner sites for installation, testing, and engineering support activities.
Travel Details: Travel frequency will be less than 5% of the time, nationally to visit customer and business partners’ sites.
Requirements
At least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or foreign equivalent, as well as at least six months of experience working with adaptive control algorithms for autonomous systems, ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python.
